# Connect Prefer to Google, Slack, and Your CMS

> Link Prefer with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, your CMS, Slack, and data warehouses. See what each integration does, which plans support it, and how to connect it.

Prefer integrates with the tools you already use to measure, publish, and alert. Connecting an integration takes only a few minutes from your workspace settings. This page covers each integration, what it does, and how to enable it.

## Available integrations

### Google Search Console + Google Analytics

* **What it does:** Pulls search performance and traffic data into Prefer so you can correlate AI visibility with organic sessions and clicks.
* **When to enable it:** Set this up during onboarding or as soon as you create a project.
* **Supported on:** All plans
* **How to connect:** Go to **Settings → Integrations** and click **Connect Google**. Follow the authorization prompts to link your property.

### CMS integration

* **What it does:** Publishes AEO articles and optimized content directly to your content management system without manual copy-paste.
* **When to enable it:** Connect after you have created your first project and want to publish from Content Studio.
* **Supported on:** Growth and above
* **How to connect:** In **Settings → Integrations**, select your CMS provider and follow the setup steps.

### Slack + real-time alerts

* **What it does:** Sends real-time alerts to a Slack channel when your visibility score changes, a competitor moves, or a tracked prompt produces a notable shift.
* **When to enable it:** Turn this on once you have active prompts and want your team to stay informed without logging in.
* **Supported on:** Growth and above
* **How to connect:** Go to **Settings → Integrations**, choose **Slack**, and authorize the workspace and channel you want to use.

### MCP access

* **What it does:** Gives you programmatic access to Prefer's model context protocol layer so you can query data and build custom workflows.
* **When to enable it:** Enable when your team wants to automate reporting or integrate Prefer data into internal tools.
* **Supported on:** Growth (MCP), Scale and Enterprise (full API)
* **How to connect:** In **Settings → Integrations**, generate an MCP key under **API & MCP**.

### Data export

* **What it does:** Lets you export dashboards, reports, and raw metrics as CSV or PDF for offline analysis or client reporting.
* **When to enable it:** Use this anytime you need to share results outside Prefer or build custom reports.
* **Supported on:** Growth and above
* **How to connect:** Go to **Settings → Integrations** and toggle **Data export** on.

### Warehouse sync

* **What it does:** Syncs Prefer data to your data warehouse on a scheduled basis so you can combine AI visibility metrics with your internal analytics stack.
* **When to enable it:** Set this up when you want to run cross-dataset analysis in your BI tool.
* **Supported on:** Enterprise only
* **How to connect:** In **Settings → Integrations**, select **Warehouse sync** and enter your warehouse credentials.

## Connect Google Search Console

    Click **Connect Google** under the Google Search Console + Google Analytics card.

  <Step title="Authorize access">
    Choose the Google account that owns your property, then select the correct property from the list.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm connection">
    Prefer confirms the link and begins pulling daily data. You will see organic metrics in your dashboards within 24 hours.

## Connect Slack

  <Step title="Open Integrations">
    Go to **Settings → Integrations** in your workspace.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select Slack">
    Click **Connect Slack** under the Slack + real-time alerts card.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Authorize your workspace">
    Sign in to Slack and choose the workspace you want to connect.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Pick a channel">
    Select the channel where alerts should post. You can change this later from the same settings page.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Test the connection">
    Prefer sends a test message to confirm the channel is reachable. Alerts begin with the next tracking run.

<Tip>
  You can connect only one Slack workspace per Prefer workspace, but you can change the target channel at any time from **Settings → Integrations**.
