# Does Prefer support SSO?

> Yes, on Prefer Enterprise: SSO, custom roles and custom security, plus SSO/SAML on Agency Enterprise. Self-serve plans use email invites and roles.

Yes, on Enterprise only. Prefer includes SSO, roles and custom security on the Enterprise brand plan, and SSO/SAML with role-based access on Agency Enterprise. Starter, Growth, Scale and the standard agency track use email invites with built-in roles such as Viewer, Editor and Admin.

## SSO is an Enterprise feature

**Prefer offers single sign-on on Enterprise only: SSO, roles and custom security on the Enterprise brand plan, and SSO/SAML with role-based access on Agency Enterprise.** The [team and workspaces docs](/docs/account/team-and-workspaces) state it plainly: SSO, custom roles and advanced security controls are available on Enterprise only.

| Plan | Sign-in | Roles |
| - | - | - |
| Starter, Growth, Scale | Email invite | Built-in roles (Viewer, Editor, Admin) |
| Agency base | Email invite, unlimited seats | Built-in roles, client view controls |
| Enterprise | SSO | Roles and custom security |
| Agency Enterprise | SSO/SAML | Role-based access |

Enterprise is custom-quoted. It also brings unlimited prompts, projects and seats, every other AI model you need, such as Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Grok, Meta AI, DeepSeek and Qwen, white-glove off-page execution, a dedicated CSM with an SLA, and the full API with warehouse sync.

## What you get without SSO

Every plan has a workspace with members and roles. The roles control who can edit prompts, manage content, view billing or invite others. An admin manages access in a few steps:

1. Go to Settings, then Team.
2. Click Invite member, enter the email and pick a role.
3. Resend or revoke the invite from the same page until it is accepted.
4. To change access later, click the member's current role and choose a new one. **Role changes take effect immediately.**

On the agency track, you also decide what each invited client can see in their own dashboard.

## Security on Prefer Enterprise

Security reviews often ask for more than SSO, so here is what Prefer's public pages actually say. The [trust page](https://tryprefer.com/trust/) says Prefer requests read-only access when you connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics, uses it only to show your visibility, does not sell your data and does not share it with other customers. The privacy policy says Prefer follows sensible security practices and describes Prefer as an early-stage company.

**On Prefer Enterprise, security is set to your policy: the Prefer team works through your security questionnaire, and controls such as audit logging, data residency and retention are agreed in the contract.** Enterprise's "custom security" line covers specific needs such as provider setup or access policies.

## How to ask for it

If SSO is a requirement, [book a 30-minute Prefer Enterprise demo](https://cal.com/javed-khatri-wlgmiv/30min). Bring your identity provider, the number of users and any security questionnaire. If you want to see the product before that conversation, the free trial and the [free AI visibility audit](https://app.tryprefer.com/audit) need no card.

## Frequently asked questions

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Which identity providers does Prefer's SSO work with?">
    Prefer Enterprise configures SSO for the identity provider you use. The agency docs name SSO/SAML, and the Enterprise plan includes SSO and custom security, so your provider is set up when you scope Enterprise.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I add SSO to a Prefer Growth or Scale plan?">
    No. Prefer offers SSO on Enterprise only, and brand plans do not sell it as an add-on. If SSO is a hard requirement from your IT team, Enterprise is the plan to discuss.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How does Prefer control access without SSO?">
    Prefer uses email invites and roles. An admin invites each member from Settings, Team, and gives them a role such as Viewer, Editor or Admin; invites can be revoked before they are accepted and roles changed at any time.
