It is free because it is a one-time snapshot, not ongoing tracking. Prefer runs it once and returns the report; nothing repeats and nothing bills.

## What happens when you run it

The Prefer docs describe four stages:

1. **Fetch.** You enter a domain and a market. Prefer reads your site, infers your category and builds a light brand profile.
2. **Generate.** Prefer writes topics your buyers search and roughly 30 prompts spread across them.
3. **Run.** The docs say the prompts run on ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Gemini, and each answer is stored in full.
4. **Score.** Prefer scores Visibility, Share of Voice, Citation Share and Sentiment, ranks competitors, finds the top cited sources and writes a starter action plan.

**The audit shows the exact answers behind every score, so you can check each number against what the engine actually said.** Expand any prompt in the report to read the answer and see which brands were named.
