# Which languages does Prefer support?

> Prefer languages by plan: 1 on Starter, 3 on Growth, 5 on Scale, unlimited on Enterprise.

Prefer sets a language allowance per plan: 1 on Starter, 3 on Growth, 5 on Scale and unlimited on Enterprise. Prefer does not publish a fixed list of supported languages, so test the language you need on the free trial before you commit.

## Languages are a per-plan allowance

Prefer limits languages by plan, not by a list. Starter covers 1, Growth 3, Scale 5, and Enterprise is unlimited. The allowance sits on the /pricing comparison matrix, next to countries and pages audited.

**Prefer does not publish a named list of supported languages, so the honest test is to run your own prompts in your language on the free trial.** We would rather tell you that than print a list we have not documented. The trial lasts 7 days, needs no card, and turns every premium feature on.

## Why language and market both matter

**AI answers change with the asker's market and language, so a brand that wins in English can be missing in another language.** That is how our [Answer Engine Insights](https://tryprefer.com/platform/answer-engine-insights/) page puts it. A buyer in Germany asking in German may see different rivals and different sources than one asking in English.

Prefer handles market in two ways. In 20 major markets it uses precise Google geolocation. In every other country it states the market in the question. The dedicated Regions module, which runs native-language prompts per market, ships on Enterprise.

## How to test a language on the trial

1. **Write the prompts yourself.** In Monitor, then Prompts, click Add prompts and paste your questions in the target language, one at a time or as a bulk list.
2. **Set the country.** Pick the market where those buyers live. Each prompt and country pair uses one slot.
3. **Run tracking now.** Use the button in the top bar instead of waiting for the scheduled run.
4. **Read the answers.** Open a prompt, click View all chats, and check that each engine answered in the language you asked and named the brands you expect.
