Prefer is operated by Kocoa Technologies Private Limited (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what we collect when you use tryprefer.com and the Prefer product, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us at hello@tryprefer.com.
When you request an audit, start a trial, or contact us, we collect what you provide: your email address, the website or brand you want us to analyze, and any message you send. If you create an account, we store the details needed to run it. We do not ask for more than we need.
Like most websites, we collect basic usage data through analytics: the pages you view, how you reached the site, your approximate location, and device and browser information. We use Google Analytics 4 and PostHog for this. This helps us understand what is useful and improve the site. Some of this relies on cookies (see below).
If you connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics inside Prefer, we request read-only access and use it solely to show your AI and search visibility to you. We do not sell that data, and we do not share it with other customers. You can revoke access at any time from your Google account or by contacting us.
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions and for the analytics named above (Google Analytics 4 and PostHog). You can control or clear cookies in your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on. Turning off analytics cookies will not stop you using the site.
We use what we collect to run and improve Prefer, to show you your visibility, to respond to your questions, and to send you information you asked for. We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers below, and only what each needs to do its job.
We use a small set of reputable providers to run the product and the site: cloud hosting and content delivery, product and web analytics (Google Analytics, PostHog), and the AI and search-data APIs that power tracking. We share only what each provider needs. A current list is available on request.
You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, and you can unsubscribe from emails at any time. To make a request, email hello@tryprefer.com and we will respond. You can also revoke any Google connection you have granted at any time.
We follow sensible security practices and keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires. We are an early-stage company and are straight about where we stand on formal certifications on our trust page.
