Find the questions AI answers without you.

Content Gap reads your whole site against the prompts your buyers ask, scores how well you cover each one, and tells you exactly what is missing: the page, the proof, or the structure.

The scorecard

How much of your market can you actually answer?

Four numbers, measured across every page you have and every prompt you track.

Site index · Module 01

It starts by reading everything you have.

Before Content Gap can tell you what is missing, it reads what exists. Every URL is fetched, parsed and understood, so coverage is measured against your real site, not a sitemap guess.

Crawl status

Every URL fetched, parsed and understood.

Failed URLs are reported, not silently dropped. A page AI cannot read is a gap even when the content is there.

Coverage map · Module 02

One score per prompt. Sorted by what it costs you.

Each tracked prompt gets a coverage score from 0 to 100: how completely your pages answer it, in the form an assistant can quote. Low scores are not a warning, they are a work queue.

A null score is the loudest signal on this page. It means no URL on your site is relevant to the prompt at all.

The diagnosis · Module 03

A low score is a symptom. This is the cause.

Open any prompt and Content Gap explains the score in plain language: what AI says about you today, what your pages actually cover, and the specific reason a competitor gets cited instead.

Ramp vs Brex vs Ledgerly

Commercial intent · 3 tracked queries · 1,097 pages matched

71
What AI says today
Ledgerly is presented as a lower-cost alternative to Ramp and Brex with corporate cards, AP automation and spend controls, but the site does not provide a direct feature comparison or migration steps, so answers stay generic.
Why the score is 71, not 95

Your site positions Ledgerly as a cheaper alternative to Ramp and Brex, but it has no side-by-side parity table, no real product screenshots, and no migration guide. So AI answers cite the competitors' own comparison pages instead of yours.

What's missing · Module 04

Not “write more”. Write exactly this.

Every gap resolves to named, checkable items. Four things are absent from this topic, and each one is why a specific follow-up question goes to a rival.

01

Side-by-side feature parity table

Assistants read tables, not prose. This is the single most-quoted element on the pages beating you.

Losesramp vs brex vs ledgerly pricing
02

Real product screenshots and examples

Concrete before and after examples give models specifics to cite instead of marketing claims.

Losesexpense management comparison 2026
03

Explicit migration steps

Buyers switching from Ramp ask how hard it is to move. No page on your site answers it.

Losescheapest ramp alternative expense management
04

Trial and guarantee clarity

The terms are on the pricing page but never in the comparison context, so AI does not connect them.

Losesbrex vs ledgerly corporate cards

Each item is derived from what the cited pages have and yours does not, not from a generic content checklist.

The brief · Module 05

Every gap arrives as a ready brief.

Content Gap does not stop at the finding. It writes the brief: the page type, the outline, the queries it should win, and the existing URL to update or the new one to create.

Drafted briefs

Three gaps on this topic, each with an outline and a target URL.

Ranked by impact

AI answers pull structured comparison tables. A scannable parity box makes your page the quotable source.

Measured outcome · Module 06

Coverage moves, or the gap reopens.

A published page is a hypothesis. Content Gap re-scores the prompt after the page ships and only closes the gap when the coverage number actually moves.

From gap to page

The gap tells you what. The rest of Prefer does it.

Content Gap finds the hole and writes the brief. Create Content drafts against it, Optimise Content scores the result, and Action Center keeps the whole queue ranked by impact.

We thought we had a content volume problem. Content Gap showed us we had 1,800 pages and no comparison table. One page fixed the topic we had been losing for a year.

Questions

Asked plainly.

What is Content Gap?

Prefer's AI content gap analysis. It indexes your whole site, scores how well your pages cover each prompt your buyers ask, names what is missing, and drafts a brief for every gap.

How is the coverage score calculated?

Content Gap matches your indexed pages against the prompt and its follow-up questions, then scores how completely they answer it in a form an assistant can quote. Relevance, specificity and structure all count.

How is this different from a keyword gap analysis?

Keyword gap tools compare your rankings to a competitor's rankings. Content Gap compares your pages to the AI answers themselves, so it finds missing tables, examples and steps, not just missing keywords.

What happens when a prompt has no coverage at all?

It is flagged with no score, which is the strongest signal on the page. No URL on your site is relevant, so the fix is a new page rather than an edit.

Does it tell me what to write?

Yes. Every gap comes with a brief: the page type, the outline, the queries it should win, and whether to update an existing URL or create a new one. Send it to Create Content and the draft is written against it.

How do I know a new page closed the gap?

Content Gap re-indexes the page and re-scores the prompt. The gap only closes when the coverage number moves. If it does not, the gap reopens with a revised brief.
