Profound lists paid prices only for agencies#
Profound’s pricing page shows brands no paid plan with a price. Prefer publishes its self-serve brand prices, from $24 a month. We read Profound’s page in a rendered browser on 16 and 18 September 2026.
| View | Plan | Price | What it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Brands | Trial | Free | 50 prompts, daily for 7 days, 3 engines, no history or exports |
| Brands | Enterprise | Custom | Daily tracking, up to 9 engines, all-time history, exports, API, SSO |
| Agencies | Agency Growth | $99 a month plus add-ons | 10 pitch workspaces a month to audit prospects |
| Agencies | Client workspace | $399 a month each | 100 prompts tracked daily, 3 engines |
| Agencies | Agency Enterprise | Custom | Tailored client and trial workspaces |
The trial runs on ChatGPT. Client workspaces track ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews. Both brand plans include unlimited seats.
A Wayback Machine copy of the page from 14 September still showed brands a Starter plan at $99 a month and a Growth plan at $399 a month. By our 16 September check, both were gone.
What AI engines told buyers on 13 September#
We asked ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity “How much does Profound cost?” three times each, the day before that archived copy.
| What the answer said | Answers (of 12) |
|---|---|
| A $99 Starter and a $399 Growth plan for brands | 10 |
| Enterprise at $2,000 to $5,000+ a month | 4 |
| Priced Profound RF, a skin treatment, instead | 2 |
| Cited Profound’s own pricing page | 6 |
The $99 and $399 matched the page that week. An AI answer that quotes Profound’s $99 Starter or $399 Growth plan is describing brand plans no longer on Profound’s pricing page. On 16 September, Google’s AI Overview for “profound pricing” still gave brand pricing of $99 to $399 a month, citing Profound’s pricing page, which no longer listed it, though it got the $399 agency client workspace roughly right. Across eight questions about Profound and Peec AI in the same run, 30 of 96 answers quoted $99 or $399 as Profound brand plans.
The Enterprise range came from all three Claude answers and one Gemini answer. One Claude answer called it “Third-party estimates”. All four cited a post by arobis.ai, an agency that sells AI visibility services, which gives the same range. Another Claude answer repeats, word for word, a sentence from maintouch.com, a competing vendor it cited. Profound lists Enterprise as custom.
How to get a real Profound quote#
Agencies can buy Agency Growth self-serve. On the brands view, the only paid route is an Enterprise quote.
- Run the free trial to see Profound’s output. It runs 50 prompts daily for 7 days on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, from a recommended set for your industry that you cannot edit. Done when you have read the report and decided if it is worth a demo.
- Write your spec before the demo. List your own buyer questions (we suggest starting with 10 to 50), which Enterprise lets you add. Then put a number on what it prices as custom: prompts tracked, answer engines (up to 9), languages, regions and AI Marketer credits. Done when the spec fits on one page.
- Get the quote in writing, in your spec’s units. Ask for the monthly price, the contract length, whether it is billed yearly, what happens past the prompt limit, and whether a single brand can buy Agency Growth self-serve. Done when every line of your spec has a number.
- Compare it with published prices. Divide the monthly price by prompts times engines and check our AI visibility tool pricing index. Credit what Enterprise includes: daily tracking, all-time history, exports, API access, SSO and SOC 2 compliance. Done when you can name what the premium buys. If none of it is on your spec, that is your answer.
Disclosure: Prefer sells an AI visibility platform that competes with Profound, so we have a stake in how you read its pricing. To bring a baseline to the demo, run a free AI visibility audit.

- Profound's pricing page, read in a rendered browser on 23 September 2026, has two views. For brands: a free Trial (limited AI Marketer credits, 50 prompts run daily for 7 days, on ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews, no history, exports, API or support) and Enterprise at a custom price (daily tracking, up to 9 answer engines, all-time history, CSV and JSON exports, API, SSO/SAML and SOC 2 compliance, dedicated support). Seats are unlimited on both. For agencies: Agency Growth at $99 a month plus add-ons (10 pitch workspaces a month, 25 prompts each for 7 days, extendable, and 5 agency seats), one more client workspace at $399 a month, five trial workspaces at $199 a month, and Agency Enterprise at a custom price. - Prefer, our product, competes with Profound and publishes its prices: Starter is $24 a month with 30 tracked prompts and 15 AI articles, every plan tracks five engines (ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode), and every paid plan starts with a 7-day free trial with no card. Agencies pay $99 a month plus $299 per active client. We have a commercial stake in how you read Profound's pricing. Prefer pricing (our product)
- A second rendered check on 18 September 2026 found the same plans and prices. A client workspace tracks 100 prompts daily on ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google AI Overviews, with 400 agent credits a month. Profound's pricing FAQ says both brand plans 'include unlimited seats', calls Agency Growth 'self-serve', says 'Trial plan users receive a recommended prompt set based on their industry and cannot customize their prompts. On Enterprise, you can edit, disable, or add prompts', and says of the prompt limit: 'We'll notify you as you approach your limit and help you explore the best expansion options for your needs.' - The Wayback Machine's capture of tryprofound.com/pricing from 14 September 2026, 17:56 UTC, read in a rendered browser, shows brands a Starter plan at $99 a month (ChatGPT only, 50 prompts), a Growth plan at $399 a month (3 answer engines, 100 prompts) and custom Enterprise. The page source of captures from 21 August, 3 September and 10 September contains the same brand plans. So the brand plans came off the page between that capture and our 16 September check. - Asked 'How much does Profound cost?' three times each on 13 September 2026, 10 of 12 answers from ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and Perplexity quoted a $99 Starter plan and a $399 Growth plan for brands: all three from ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity, and one from Gemini. Six answers cited Profound's own pricing page (two ChatGPT, one Gemini, three Perplexity). (Prefer research note: How much does Profound cost (2026-09-18), dated research note)
- Four answers gave an Enterprise estimate of $2,000 to $5,000+ a month: all three from Claude and one from Gemini. One Claude answer attributed it to 'Third-party estimates'. All four cited a post on arobis.ai, an agency that sells AI visibility services, which gives the same range; Profound's page lists Enterprise as custom. One Claude answer's Enterprise sentence is word for word a sentence from a post on maintouch.com, a competing vendor, that the answer also cited. - On 16 September 2026, after the change, Google's AI Overview for 'profound pricing' still stated $99 to $399 brand tiers and cited tryprofound.com/pricing as its source; the same overview described Agency Growth at $399 per month per client workspace, roughly right. Across eight questions about Profound and Peec AI in the 13 September run (s57 to s64), 30 of 96 answers quoted $99 or $399 as Profound brand plans: ChatGPT 8, Claude 11, Gemini 7, Perplexity 4. (Prefer research note: Profound vs Peec AI (2026-09-16), count re-verified 2026-09-18, dated research note)
- Two of Gemini's three answers priced Profound RF, a radiofrequency skin treatment, at $2,000 to $5,500 and $2,000 to $6,000, and gave no price for the software. Across the 12 answers, 28 of 98 citations were Profound RF pages, cited by five answers: those two Gemini answers and all three Perplexity answers. (Prefer research note: How much does Profound cost (2026-09-18), dated research note)
- Claude's three answers disagreed on the trial. Two said Profound 'offers a seven-day free trial of its Growth plan'; on 14 September the Growth plan carried a 'Try for free' button (Wayback Machine capture, rendered). One said 'Profound does not offer a free trial.', which was at odds with the page that week and today. (Prefer research note: How much does Profound cost (2026-09-18), dated research note)
