Yes. Prefer lets you add, enable, disable or archive tracked prompts at any time from the Prompts console. An archived prompt stops using a slot from the next run, but its history stays readable, and reactivating it resumes tracking on the next run. New prompts join the next tracking run. Yes, at any time

Prefer lets you change your tracked prompts whenever you like. There is no lock-in period for a prompt, no fee to swap one, and no wait for a billing cycle. You add, enable, disable and archive from Monitor, then Prompts. When you archive a prompt in Prefer, its slot frees up from the next run and its history stays readable, so you never lose a trend line. That is the main reason to archive instead of starting over. The old results stay in the Archived tab, and you can bring the prompt back later.

What each change does

Want the new set measured at once? Click Run tracking now in the top bar instead of waiting for the scheduled run.

How to archive a prompt

  1. Open the Prompts tab in Monitor, then Prompts.
  2. Tick the checkbox next to the prompt row.
  3. Open the row’s menu (the three dots) and choose Archive.
  4. Check the Archived tab to confirm it moved, with its history intact.

When to change prompts

Change a prompt when it no longer matches how your buyers ask, not because one run looked bad. Engines vary between runs, so give a prompt a few runs before you judge it. Good reasons to swap: a new product line, a new competitor worth comparing against, a market you entered, or a prompt that never names any brand at all. Keep history length in mind. Prefer keeps 6 months of data on Starter, 24 months on Growth and 36 months on Scale. Archiving keeps a prompt’s trend inside that window. Before you rebuild a list, run the free AI visibility audit to see which questions engines answer in your category, and read how to choose prompts.
