Yes, through Optimise Content
Prefer optimises existing pages with Optimise Content, which compares your live page with the pages AI engines cite for the same prompt and turns the difference into edits you can accept. It sits in the app under Act, then Content Studio, next to Create Content and Content Gap. Use it when the page already exists and you would rather improve it than start again. What Prefer checks on the page
The Optimise Content page lists what the run looks at. Each item feeds the same score:- Terms. The vocabulary that shows up in winning answers for the topic, with each term marked optimal, thin, missing or overused on your page. The ranges come from the pages AI actually cites, not from a generic keyword tool.
- Follow-up questions. One prompt fans out into related questions. Prefer counts how many of them your page resolves.
- Facts. Assistants prefer sources with facts they can verify, such as prices, limits and named features.
- Identity. Whether the page reads as one clear thing, for example a fair comparison, or as half comparison and half sales pitch.
- 2 scores. One score for search engines and one for answer engines, because a page can rank and still never be quoted.
How a run works, in 7 steps
- Open Optimise Content (Act, then Content Studio) and pick a page from the list, or paste its URL.
- Click Run optimisation agent.
- Set the brief: page level, the prompt you want to win, persona, tone and any research tools.
- Wait while the agent reads the live page, reads the AI answers and cited pages for that prompt, and stages its suggestions.
- Review the inline diffs in the Editor. Accept or reject each one and watch the gauges move.
- Click Customise if you want to change term targets, structure, topics or competitor references, then commit to re-score.
- Export the finished copy and update your live page.
What stays with you
On the self-serve plans, Prefer suggests and you decide and publish. Nothing on your site changes until you take the edited copy and put it live. The Content Studio docs say the in-Editor WordPress publish step is not live yet, so for now the last step is manual. Content is saved automatically with version history and comments, which helps when an editor and a subject expert both need to sign off. If you want a team to do the whole thing, including technical and on-page fixes across your priority pages, Prefer Managed covers that as part of a done-for-you program. See what it includes on the Prefer Managed page. How you know it worked
A changed page is a guess until an engine quotes it. After you publish, Prefer keeps tracking the prompt, so the next runs show whether your page started getting cited. If you also turned a matching Action Center card into work, that card records a before-and-after citation count. To get a baseline before you touch anything, run the free AI visibility audit.Frequently asked questions
Does Prefer rewrite my page automatically?
Does Prefer rewrite my page automatically?
No. Prefer stages each change as an inline diff, and nothing changes until you accept it. You stay in control of every line, then you copy or export the result and update the live page yourself.
Why does Prefer show two scores, SEO and AEO?
Why does Prefer show two scores, SEO and AEO?
Because Prefer treats them as different tests. A page can rank well in classic search and still never be quoted by an AI answer, so Prefer scores search and answer engines separately and lets you see the gap between them.

Start with pages Prefer already ties to a tracked prompt where a rival gets cited and you do not. The Content Gap report lists those prompts, and its Optimise page button opens a run with the prompt, title and URL filled in.
