The honest answer: connected, not yet one-click
Prefer lists CMS integration on Growth and above, but the live publish step inside the Editor is still coming, so today you export and publish yourself. Two Prefer docs pages cover this. The Integrations page describes the CMS integration as publishing AEO articles and optimized content without copy-paste, supported on Growth and above. The Content Studio page is more specific about the current state. The Editor already has a WordPress connect screen, and you can link your site from the publish modal. The actual publish step is stubbed today and is planned for a later release. We would rather you read that here than find it after you sign up.What works on each plan today
On every self-serve plan, the last step from draft to live page is manual for now. The Create Content product page describes the target state: the page leaves Prefer complete, with metadata, schema, internal links and images, pushed to your CMS or exported clean.
How to publish a Prefer draft today
- Finish the draft in the Editor and check the SEO and AEO gauges.
- Run the plagiarism scan before you publish.
- Export the content from the Editor.
- Paste it into your CMS, keeping headings, lists and tables intact.
- Add any schema the plan suggested, such as FAQPage or Product JSON-LD.
- Publish, then let Prefer’s next tracking run show whether the target prompt moves.
Why publishing is kept inside the app
Prefer’s API and MCP page says write actions and CMS publishing stay in the Prefer app and Action Center on purpose. Each change stays tied to the prompts it was written for, which is how Prefer can later report whether it worked. The API and MCP access are for reading data and building reports. If you want it fully done for you
Prefer Managed is the only option where Prefer puts content on your site. Its articles are drafted on the platform, edited by people and published to your CMS with schema and internal links. The scope and price are on the Prefer Managed page. To see which pages you are missing first, run the free audit.Frequently asked questions

No. Prefer’s plan matrix lists CMS integration on Growth, Scale and Enterprise only. On Starter you export drafts and publish by hand, which is also the current path on every plan until the live publish step ships.
