Prefer requests read-only access when you connect Google Search Console or Google Analytics, uses that data only to show your AI and search visibility, does not sell it and does not share it with other customers. You can revoke access at any time, and you can ask Prefer to access, correct or delete your personal data. Last updated 3 October 2026

The short version

Prefer reads only what it needs to show your visibility, never sells your data, and never shares it with other customers. That is the core of two public pages: the trust page and the privacy policy. The policy names the operator, Kocoa Technologies Private Limited, and gives one contact for privacy questions, hello@tryprefer.com. Below is what Prefer collects, where it goes and what you control, quoted from those pages and nothing more.

What Prefer collects

The Google connections are read-only, so Prefer can see your search data but cannot change anything in your Google accounts.

Who else touches it

Prefer uses a small set of providers and shares only what each needs:
  • Cloud hosting and content delivery.
  • Product and web analytics: Google Analytics and PostHog.
  • Affiliate referral tracking: Endorsely, a single marketing cookie, only if you arrive through a partner.
  • Payments: Dodo Payments, the merchant of record.
  • The AI and search-data APIs that power tracking.
A current sub-processor list is available on request. Cookies beyond essential ones are your choice in the cookie banner, and you can change it from Cookie settings in the footer.

What you control

  1. Revoke Google access at any time from your Google account, or by asking Prefer.
  2. Request access, correction or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@tryprefer.com.
  3. Unsubscribe from emails at any time.
  4. Export your data as CSV or PDF on Growth and above, per the integrations docs.
Pausing does not delete. If a trial ends without an upgrade, tracking pauses and nothing is deleted. An agency can pause a client workspace and keep all of its history.

What Prefer does not claim

Prefer’s public pages do not list a formal security certification such as SOC 2 or ISO 27001, and the privacy policy calls Prefer an early-stage company. On retention, the policy says Prefer keeps personal information only as long as it needs it for the stated purposes or as the law requires; it does not publish a fixed retention period. Enterprise includes SSO, roles and custom security, which is the place to raise specific requirements. To see what Prefer measures before you connect anything, run the free audit, which needs no account.

No. Prefer requests read-only access to Search Console and Google Analytics and uses it only to show your visibility inside Prefer. You can revoke that access at any time from your Google account.
